Raleigh Mini Tummy Tuck

What is a Mini Tummy Tuck?
While a full tummy tuck takes care of the excess fat and skin around the entire abdomen, a mini tummy tuck only focuses on the lower abdomen, below the belly button. Often caused by pregnancy or weight loss, a sagging or "pooching" lower belly makes many women feel self conscious or uncomfortable.
Fortunately, with a small incision, similar to a c-section incision, Dr. Ortiz can repair and restore the lower abdominal muscles and remove excess skin. The procedure itself is generally brief - only lasting around two to three hours, and there is only a single, horizontal scar that is generally hidden under a bathing suit or undergarments.
Assuming the patient does not experience significant changes in weight moving forward, a mini tummy tuck can provide near permanent results. It's important to note that a mini tummy tuck does not remove or heal stretch marks, and we generally only recommend this for women who do not plan on having children following the procedure.
